Design constantly seeks balance between art and usability, as well as functionality and beauty. Learning the ways of creating a project and the product allows the viewer to see interiors and the surrounding objects from a different perspective.
The aim of the exhibition "Style. Function. Interior" is to show the process of interior design, namely idea and inspiration, a needs analysis, a project, form and materials, sketches, and finally the visualisation of the designed object. The viewer observes the process through multimedia presentations and design boards.
Julia Wywiał, a student of interior design at the Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław is the author of the projects. The concepts presented at the exhibition mark the beginnings of her career in design.

·   Project of a bathroom with faucets from the AXOR One collection by Hansgrohe

AXOR One is an elegant, minimalistic and innovative bathroom collection designed for those who dream of improved cleanliness, refined functions and exceptional control. The new technology Select allows the user to explore a new way of interaction; pressing the all-in-one lever handle releases the water flow, and turning it clockwise raises the temperature. It is easy, intuitive and extremely precise. The timeless design of the collection available in chrome, matt black and other exclusive variants of AXOR FinishPlus surfaces adds the element of state-of-the-art luxury to every bathroom. The bathroom is designed to meet the needs of space, comfort and elegance. The interior walls are fitted with tiles from a well-known brand Paradyż. The tiles debuted just this year. Another touch of luxury is added by renowned brands like Roca (bidet and toilet bowl) and Agape (washbasin and mirror).  The aim of the project was to allow people to spend time in a luxurious interior surrounded by beautiful views while performing daily activities.

  • Project: Multi-storey Building’s Ground Floor Transformation Into a Restaurant

Sotto Gli Archi (English: Under the Arches) is a Tuscany-inspired Italian restaurant. The project, which was drawn up based on a 195 square metres projection, includes a kitchen, gents’ toilet, ladies’ toilet/a toilet for people with disabilities, and a winery. The dining area is divided into two parts separated by two-step stairs. In one part, there are five tables for two, and in the other, there is a bar and the rest of the tables. The project includes various materials, such as brick, terracotta, tiles, white plasterwork, and brass accessories. Tuscan columns and basket arches were designed for decoration.
